Mr. Vogelaar sold me this model when I visited his home in 1988. It was only painted white and he was hesitant to sell it to me unfinished. But I finished it myself in the pictured Alaska Airlines Golden Nugget livery. I sold this model in the late 1990s when I switched to collecting metal models only. I have never seen another 1/100 L1649 model by Vogelaar in any livery .. so this was quite a rare piece. I wonder if Mr. Vogelaar is still alive. He was a very nice fellow and used to attend the Schwanheim airline shows .. up until 2009.
