At $120 for the 1/100 Electras that was a lot of money back then and they were not exactly selling like hot cakes. Apparently Picasso had this same problem when he was alive. The Lufthansa Connie, Panair and Swissair DC-7 were $180. The Swissair CV440 was $90 and I bought that model. But like an idiot I sold it some years ago. Factor that a dollar in 1992 was worth $2-3 today in purchasing power and you can see these models were pricey.
