Western Airlines Lockheed L188 Electra Model

Postby David Amundson » Thu Aug 20, 2015 3:38 am

I am interested in purchasing a Western Airlines Raise Up lockheed Electra model--preferably original with original stand but am open to a good restoration. Any feedback that anyone can provide as to the likelihood of my locating one and any thoughts you might have as to whether I should give consideration to the Gary Field's casting of the Western Electra and how it compares to the Raise Up would be greatly appreciated. I am not familiar with the finer detail differences between the two. Many thanks.

The Riase Up model is usually with all painted surfaces. I do not think I have ever seen one with high polished metal surfaces. The Gary Field's model is with high polished metal surfaces. So it is a matter of personal preference.

In my view the value of the models is similar.
