Skyland Models KLM Flying Dutchman

First of all, hello to you all from Edinburgh.
My father has just bought me a model of a KLM Flying Dutchman ( I like models) and I went to collect it today, only to discover that it is 3ft wide and 3ft long and therefore too long for me to accommodate. It is marked Skyland Models and I have tried to find out about the company but I think they must have gone out of business.
The stand is missing but the holes in the undercarriage are there so I think it must once have had one.
Could anyone help an aircraft novice with any information about this company and the plane?
Thanks in anticipation
John
