Airliners International 1992 - Los Angeles JUNE 27/92 -- Adrianus Vogelaar at his table with his models.
At $120 for the 1/100 Electras that was a lot of money back then and they were not exactly selling like hot cakes. Apparently Picasso had this same problem when he was alive.
The Lufthansa Connie, Panair and Swissair DC-7 were $180. The Swissair CV440 was $90 and I bought that model. But like an idiot I sold it some years ago.
Notice that the 1/100 Trans Brasil 767 and Swissair CV990 models were $280. That is at least $700 in today's purchasing power.
Factor that a dollar in 1992 was worth $2-3 today in purchasing power and you can see these models were pricey.
